About This Service

What Makes Our Painting & Wall Finishes Different

Paint is the fastest way to change how a room feels — but it is also one of the easiest ways to get disappointing results if the prep work is skipped and the paint grade is wrong. In Bangalore, the most common painting complaint we hear is: "we painted the kitchen or bathroom last year and the ceiling already has black spots." That is not a paint failure — it is a preparation failure combined with the wrong paint grade for a high-moisture environment. At Homeland Interiors, we treat surface preparation as seriously as the paint itself, and we specify different paint grades for different rooms based on the moisture and cleaning requirements of each space.

Built for Bangalore

Bangalore has two painting seasons that affect quality significantly: pre-monsoon (March–May) and post-monsoon (October–December). Paint applied during the June–September monsoon in areas with persistent dampness will not cure properly and is prone to blistering and early flaking. We plan painting schedules around the monsoon and recommend against painting external-facing walls or poorly ventilated rooms during heavy rain periods. For apartments with known seepage issues, we conduct a waterproofing inspection before any painting and flag unresolved sources to the client.

How We Work

How We Deliver Painting & Wall Finishes

A transparent, step-by-step journey from first call to final handover.

Surface Inspection

We inspect every wall for cracks, efflorescence (salt staining), damp patches, and peeling. Issues are rectified before priming — not papered over with new paint.

Colour Consultation

We help you select colours that work together across rooms and with your furniture. We can use brand tools or physical swatches, and we recommend testing a paint patch on the actual wall before committing to the full room.

Surface Preparation

Sanding, crack filling with appropriate filler, water-sealer on damp-prone walls, and primer coat. This stage takes 1–2 days and is not skippable.

Paint Application

Two finish coats minimum using the specified paint grade: standard emulsion for dry areas, moisture-check or exterior-grade on kitchen and bathroom walls, texture or designer finish on accent walls.

Touch-Up & Protection

After all carpentry and fixtures are installed, we do a final touch-up pass. We use protection sheeting during the carpentry phase to prevent paint damage.

Painting & Wall Finishes — Frequently Asked Questions

Which paint brand is best for Bangalore homes?

Asian Paints, Berger, and Nippon Paint all produce reliable products. The brand matters less than the paint grade: choose Interior Emulsion (Matt or Sheen) for living rooms and bedrooms, Washable Emulsion for children's rooms and corridors, and a dedicated Kitchen & Bathroom or Anti-Fungal grade for wet areas. We use premium-grade paints from these brands on all our projects and can show you the specific product codes we specify.

My walls have fungus/black spots — can you fix this permanently?

Fungus on Bangalore walls is almost always caused by one of three things: persistent dampness from a water leakage source (pipe, seeping slab, external wall crack), inadequate ventilation, or the wrong paint grade used in a high-moisture room. We address the root cause first — sealing the leakage or improving ventilation — then apply an anti-fungal primer and a moisture-resistant paint. Simply painting over existing fungus with standard emulsion will not solve the problem.

How long does painting a full 2BHK apartment take in Bangalore?

A complete 2BHK repaint (two bedrooms, living-dining, kitchen, bathrooms, passages — approximately 800–1000 sq ft of wall area) typically takes 5–7 working days with a 2-person team: 1–2 days for preparation, 3–4 days for prime and finish coats, and one day for touch-up. We work floor-by-floor to minimise disruption if the apartment is occupied.

What is the cost of painting a 2BHK apartment in Bangalore?

A full interior repaint of a 2BHK (walls and ceiling, two coats of standard emulsion) using mid-range paint (Asian Paints Royale or equivalent) costs approximately ₹25,000–₹40,000 including labour and materials. Premium paint (Royale Glitz, Berger Silk) adds 20–30% to the material cost. Texture or designer wall finishes on accent walls cost an additional ₹4,000–₹12,000 per wall depending on the technique.

Client Stories

What Our Clients Say

★★★★★
"Homeland transformed our 2BHK in Phase 6 completely. The modular kitchen fits perfectly despite the awkward corner layout — something two other designers had said was impossible. Delivery was on time and the quote matched exactly."

★★★★★
"Antony understood our brief from the very first meeting. We wanted a home office that didn't look like a home office in our living room. The result is better than what we imagined, and the folding partition system is genius."

Suresh & Kavitha R.
