A well-built straight kitchen with BWP plywood carcasses, mid-range laminate shutters, Ebco soft-close hardware, and a standard chimney and hob starts at approximately ₹1.2L for a 10-shutter single-wall layout. Below this figure, corner-cutting on the carcass material is inevitable. We are transparent about this — we will not build a kitchen that fails in two years, so this is a floor, not an opening bid.

For ground-floor and first-floor units near Agara Lake and the surrounding green belt, yes. For units on the 4th floor and above in standard RCC-framed apartment buildings, the termite risk is low enough that BWP plywood alone (without additional treatment) is adequate. We assess each project individually during the site survey.

L-shaped and straight (single-wall) layouts are most practical for the 60–80 sq ft kitchens typical in Bangalore 2BHK flats. U-shapes work well if the kitchen is wider than 8 feet. We design specifically for Indian cooking — multiple burners, a gas cylinder position, chimney integration, and a wet area for washing. We do not recommend layouts from European kitchens catalogues without adapting them to Indian use patterns.

Laminate is our default recommendation for Bangalore kitchens. It is more moisture-resistant, easier to clean, and significantly better value. During Bangalore's June–September monsoons, humidity spikes sharply — laminate handles this without de-laminating if the carcass is BWP plywood and the edges are properly sealed. Veneer provides a warmer, wood-grain look and is suitable for kitchens with good cross-ventilation or for homeowners who prefer natural aesthetics and accept slightly higher maintenance.
